The closeness of the trees, the hanging vines, the deep, dark canopies blocking the light. Everything is pressing in on you, touching you, sticking to you, physically and mentally, and soon it’s not just your imagination doing the running.

The climate and environment of jungles are also conducive to things growing big, and not just the plants.

Ah, a perfect setting for a horror story.

Even satellites are unable to penetrate some of the jungles on this planet, so who knows what is waiting to be discovered? Lost tribes, prehistoric creatures, abandoned cities from times long ago…
