  • A background extra is suing A24, Ti West, and Mia Goth for wrongful termination and an alleged concussion he suffered after Goth kicked him in the head during a scene in upcoming horror movie MaXXXine.
  • Keep a look out later this year for Pinocchio: Unstrung.
  • The Blackening, It’s a Wonderful Knife, and Knock at the Cabin are all nominees for Outstanding Film (Wide Theatrical Release) in the 35th GLAAD Media Awards. Summoning Sylvia scored a nomination for Outstanding Film (Limited Theatrical Release).
  • “It’s more a drama,” actor Alex Wolff said about prequel movie A Quiet Place: Day One.

Horror TV Treats

  • We won’t be seeing Yellowjackets, Season 3, until sometime in 2025. Hopefully we’ll still remember what happened at the end of Season 2.
  • “We’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror…” Jenny Ortega told E! about Wednesday, Season 2.
  • Horror TV shows nominated for the 35th GLAAD Media Awards include The Last of Us (Outstanding New Series), Chucky and Yellowjackets (Outstanding Drama Series), What We Do In The Shadows (Outstanding Comedy Series), The Fall of the House of Usher (Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series), and Living for the Dead (Outstanding Reality Program).
  • As the Alien series begins filming in Thailand, Noah Hawley says FX supports his vision for multiple seasons rather than a limited series.

Horror Podcast Pieces

  • Consumed is a new supernatural audio thriller premiering on 31 January 2024 on iHeartPodcasts. The series will have 12 episodes and follows a struggling journalist who’s stranded in a small town.

  • Horror. Gore & More! Tickets are now available for Ice Nine Kills’ 3rd annual Silver Scream Con. The convention is in Worcester, Massachusetts, on the weekend of 13 to 15 September 2024.

  • Krazy House. Comedy horror. When Russian workers in Bernie’s house turn out to be wanted criminals, Bernie has to man up and save his ’90s sitcom family. Showing at Sundance Film Festival 20, 21, 22, and 27 January 2024.
  • Double Blind. Psychological horror. After an experimental drug trial goes awry, the test subjects face a terrifying side effect: if you fall asleep you die. Trapped in an isolated facility, panic ensues as they try to escape and somehow stay awake. Releases on VOD on 13 February 2024.
  • Stranger in the Woods. Psychological horror. While on vacation, Olivia nearly drowns in the bathtub after her fiancé’s funeral. Her friends think she tried to kill herself, but she believes someone attacked her. Releases on VOD on 14 February 2024.

Horror Game Trailers

  • Zoochosis. Psychological bodycam horror. A newly-appointed night zookeeper is tasked with ensuring the safety of the animals. Things spiral when an unknown parasite begins to infect the animals of the zoo transforming them into bloodthirsty mutants. Releases on PC in Q2 2024
  • Instinction. Dinosaur horror. Explore The Rift, filled with all manner of prehistoric beasts. You will need to be resourceful and quick-witted, only the brave survive. Alpha access releases Q3 2024. Full game releases Q4 2025.
