1. The Haunting of Hill House (2018)
The Haunting of Hill House is a supernatural horror story and is a modern reimagining of the 1959 Shirley Jackson novel.
In this version, the Crain family – father, mother, and five children – moved into Hill House in 1992. The idea was to renovate and sell to build their own house, however they start to experience paranormal events that increase until the result is the loss of one of their family members. The remaining family members flee but Hill House has left its mark on them all, affecting their lives in different ways.
Twenty-six years later, the youngest girl commits suicide which brings the remaining family back together, forcing them to confront the ghosts of their pasts.

2. American Horror Story: Murder House (2011)
American Horror Story: Murder House is a supernatural horror story and is the first season of the American Horror Story series.
The dysfunctional Harmon family moves to LA to try to get their lives and relationships back on track. Vivien, the mother, has had a miscarriage. Ben, the father, slept with a student and has a history of infidelity. Violet, the daughter, has a history of self-harming.
They’re unaware that they’re now living in the infamous ‘murder house’. All three family members struggle to adapt to their new lives, dealing with strange neighbours, paranormal phenomena, and people who aren’t what they seem.

3. Marchlands (2011)
Marchlands is a supernatural horror story and was a UK remake of the American TV show The Oaks.
Three different families live in the same house in Yorkshire during three different time periods: 1968, 1987, and 2010. The three families are linked by the ghost of the daughter of the first family.
In 1968, Ruth and Paul Bowen live in Marchlands. Six months earlier, their daughter Alice drowned but Ruth believes there’s more to Alice’s death than she’s being told.
In 1987, Helen and Eddie Maynard rent Marchlands and live there with their two children. Their daughter Amy has an imaginary friend called Alice. After a series of seemingly paranormal activities, Amy blames Alice for the death of a kitten, so her parents send Amy for medical tests.
In 2010, Mark Ashburn and his pregnant partner Nisha Parekh move into Marchlands and find a photo of a young girl. Nisha starts to believe that Mark hasn’t told her the whole truth about why they’ve moved there. Mark employs Ruth as a housekeeper and childminder after Nisha breaks her ankle falling from a stepladder.

5. Chapelwaite (2021)
Chapelwaite is a supernatural horror series based on Stephen King’s short story Jerusalem’s Lot which was first published in Night Shift in 1978.
In the 1850s, Captain Charles Boone relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine, after his wife dies at sea.
Once there, Charles has to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.

Channel Zero: No-End House is a supernatural horror story and is season 2 of the Channel Zero horror series.
The No-End House is a mysterious house that appears in random places in the world. When it appears in Margot’s and Jules’s neighbourhood, they line up with other groups of people to go inside and experience whatever this house is.
When the two girls manage to escape from the house, strange things start to happen in the real world, such as Margot’s dead father coming back to life.

9. Lightfields (2013)
Lightfields is a supernatural horror story and is a follow-up to Marchlands.
Three different families live in the same house in Suffolk during three different time periods: 1944, 1975, and 2012. The three families are linked by the ghost of the daughter of the first family.
In 1944, Eve and Vivien, evacuees from London, arrive at Lightfields and are sent to help out on the farm, owned by Albert and Martha Felwood. Eve befriends Albert and Martha’s daughter, Lucy, who is later killed in a fire at the barn. Eve is determined to find out what really happened to her.
In 1975, Vivien returns to Lightfields with her daughter. Shortly after they arrive, they notice some unusual activity and Vivien starts to remember the time she spent there in 1944.
In 2012, Lightfields is a bed & breakfast, run by Lucy’s nephew, Barry. Lucy’s brother, Pip, returns to Lightfields, strange things start happening, and he believes that they are being haunted by Lucy’s restless spirit.

Bedlam Heights is a newly converted apartment building on the edge of a British metropolis. Behind its stylish facade lie unimaginable horrors. For this building was a pre-Victorian asylum and it’s haunted by the ghosts of its dark and violent past.
Jed Harper sees the ghosts and visions of their deaths and he has to work out their motives and stop their malevolent intentions.

Rose Red is a supernatural horror story written by Stephen King.
Rose Red is the name of a massive, old Seattle mansion with the reputation of being haunted. At least 23 people have either disappeared or died there and the inside of the house seems to change its dimensions.
A psychology professor takes a team of psychics to the house to try to record scientific proof of paranormal phenomena. However, the team awakens the evil spirit that possesses the house.
