Scares That Care and Spirited Giving are presenting a live Midnight Pals performance at Authorcon V on Thursday, 27 March 2025, written by Bitter Karella and starring a bunch of horror authors playing themselves.
A court unredacted information from a document alleging Meta downloaded documents from LibGen, a site of allegedly pirated books. The case, brought by Richard Kadry and a number of other authors, alleges that Meta used stolen versions of their work to train their AI.

Three more R.L. Stine Fear Street movies are on the way.
Cillian Murphy is not in the first 28 Years Later movie.
Horror movies nominated for the 29th Art Directors Guild Award include Nosferatu, Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and The Substance. Horror TV shows receiving nominations include Silo, True Detective: Night Country, and What We Do in the Shadows.
Letterboxd’s Top 10 Highest Rated Horror Movies for 2024 were, in order: Nosferatu, The Substance, Dead Talents Society, Bramayugam, Chime, Alien: Romulus, Exhuma, I Saw the TV Glow, Your Monster, and Strange Darling.
There will not be a sequel to The Substance.
Jurassic World Rebirth is apparently ‘brutally violent’.
Marketing for upcoming supernatural horror movie Presence includes a website and public advertising in New York City for the movie’s real estate agent, Cece.
Leigh Whannell says a remake of 1981’s Escape from New York is not happening for now.
The sequel to Japanese urban legend horror movie Kisaragi Station (2022) will be released in early summer 2025.
Join Onset Cinema for a special 45th anniversary screening of The Shining at the Timberline Lodge, Oregon, Sunday, 5 October 2025. Timberline Lodge was used for exterior shots of the Overlook Hotel in the movie. You can even stay overnight if you want to.

Horror TV Treats

Seasons 1 and 2 of Shining Vale are streaming again, this time on Max.
Grimm is coming back as a movie. If it’s successful, it might become a movie franchise.
Welcome to Derry will have 3 seasons, each of which takes place in different decades, all 27 years apart. Season 1 takes place in 1963, Season 2 in 1935, and Season 3 in 1908. Stephen King has to approve everything about the series.

Horror Game Goodies

Friday the 13th: The Game is no longer playable.
Lego Idea The GingerDread House is a Halloween-style of Lego kit and has around 400 days left to get to 1,000 supporters.
The Until Dawn movie adaptation will feature a new story and a cast of characters separate from the original game.
