Horror Book Bits
- Sinister Smile Press is now a division of Crystal Lake Publishing, which will “expand their focus on hardcore horror novels and anthologies”.
- Stephen King’s You Like It Darker took out first place in the Readers’ Favorite Horror category of the Goodreads Choice Awards with 60,901 votes. We Used To Live Here by Marcus Kliewer came in second with 46,932 votes, and What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher in third with 24,093 votes. Congratulations to all nominees.
Horror Movie Morsels
- Guillermo del Toro is remastering the black and white Nightmare Alley with an extended cut.
- Thanksgiving 2 is coming in 2025.
- The nominations for the 52nd annual Saturn Awards for Best Horror Film are: A Quiet Place: Day One, Abigail, Alien: Romulus, The First Omen, In a Violent Nature, Longlegs, and Smile 2. Horror movies are also well represented in almost all other award categories.

Horror TV Treats
- Sweetpea has been renewed for a second season.
- At Content London this week, MGM+ showed a full trailer for Stephen King’s The Institute and announced that King is on board as an executive producer. They also said they intend to drop episodes weekly and that a potential season 2 is already being discussed.
- The nominations for the 52nd annual Saturn Awards for Best Horror Television Series are: Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, Creepshow, Evil, From, Grotesquerie, Teacup, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Horror TV shows are also well represented in almost all other award categories.
