Condolences to family, friends, and fans of author/actor Tim Sullivan. Sullivan wrote sci-fi novels, three of which were based on the alien invasion series V, short stories, and book reviews, as well as editing horror anthologies. He also wrote, directed, and/or acted in a number of small-budget horror and science fiction movies. RIP.

Horror Book Bits

The Dark Drafts Festival is on from 25 to 26 January 2025 in Pennsylvania. Meet authors, enjoy exclusive VIP access to evening delights, discover new reads. Saturday night has an interactive dinner theater experience and a gothic horror masquerade, and Sunday has a Dracula feast. Tickets are on sale now.
Emily Carpenter’s novel Gothictown is getting an AMC+ TV series adaptation. The novel is due for release in March 2025.
Just a few more days left to add some money to Ken Foree’s zombie horror comic, Descendants of the Undead, kickstarter campaign.
The Clarion West Fall Fundraiser has 19 days left on its Indiegogo campaign. There are still some fantastic perks to be picked up, including workshops, signed books, merchandise, one-on-one sessions with writers, and even a ‘Speculative Crochet Jellyfish’.

Horror Movie Morsels

Netflix is developing Under Paris 2, a sequel to French horror movie, Under Paris, but it may not begin shooting until 2026.
Have a look at some behind-the-scenes action of dinosaur horror Vietnam war action movie Primitive War, expected to arrive in 2025.
Five Nights at Freddy’s was the number one most-complained-about movie to the British Board of Film Classification in 2023. The movie received 26 complaints about the age classification (15) from people who were deemed too young to see it.
Comedy horror movie Idle Hands is getting a remake.
In Predator: Badlands, the predator itself is the protagonist of the story and you’ll find yourself rooting for him. Expected release date is 7 November 2025.
Actor Tara Rule shared clips on Instagram and a follow up video showing how the crew of found footage horror movie Devon were haunted as they filmed at Pennhurst Asylum.
The reboot of Blade hasn’t yet started filming and currently has no release date and no director.
Director Neil Marshall says there will be no official Dog Soldiers sequel but hasn’t ruled out making an unrelated werewolf movie.
No one is going to see Bill Skarsgård’s Nosferatu character until the movie is released.
