Horror Book Bits

The 2024 Goodreads Choice Awards are open for voting. The opening round closes on 24 November, then the final round runs from 26 November to 1 December, with winners announced on 5 December.
Sarah Pinsker’s horror novella, Two Truths and a Lie, about a creepy TV show will most likely get a movie adaptation, with Paramount Pictures acquiring the rights.
Paul Tremblay’s first middle grade horror book, Another, is set for release on 22 July 2025.

Check out the items up for bid in the Hollywood Legends Sci-fi, Horror, & Action auction. How would the original life-size ‘Man-Eating Giant Spider’ prop from The Giant Spider Invasion look in your front yard? Or, for your wall, a zombie mask from The Walking Dead or the Kane Hodder “Jason Voorhees” Hero Machete Pro from Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. The auction is on 12 December 2024 at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.
Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble has pre-sold to horror movie markets around the world and principal photography begins next March. The slasher movie has monsters teaming up to take on survivors from previous movies.
The next episode of BBC’s annual A Ghost Story for Christmas anthology series is Woman of Stone, based on Edith Nesbit’s Man-Size in Marble, featuring Victorian newlyweds, a small town, and marble knights who rise from their tomb slabs on Christmas Eve.
Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein adaptation will have a theatrical run.
The George A. Romero’s Resident Evil documentary will be available on digital and VOD from 7 January 2025.
Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu has been rated ‘R’ by the MPA.
2021’s horror comedy The Trip is getting a remake.

Horror TV Treats

From has been renewed for season 4.
Yellowjackets, season 3, premieres on 14 February 2025 on Paramount+.
Pro-wrestler CM Punk has joined the cast of the upcoming zombie horror series, Revival. The show is based on the Image Comic series of the same name.
Production on Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, season 2, is underway.
The first episode of Severin’s new seasonal short-form ghost story series, The Haunted Season, premieres on Shudder on 1 December 2024.
