- Congratulations to author Daniel Kraus for winning the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction with his novel Angel Down.
- Marvel Comics has a “terrifying new universe coming this fall” called Midnight. No more details yet except “The light had its turn”.
- Armando Muñoz’s Silent Night, Deadlier Night, releasing on 10 Nov 2026, is a new sequel to 1984 slasher movie Silent Night.
- DC’s upcoming Absolute Green Arrow slasher comic book series gives us “…a Robin Hood that’s less Errol Flynn … and more Michael Myers”. The first issue releases on 20 May 2026. Watch the trailer.

- 9 years after announcing a new Piranha movie based in Japan about tuna-piranha hybrids, Piranha: Pacific Nightmare is finally moving forward again.
- Longlegs 2 has been given a release date of 14 Jan 2028 and will “not be a sequel, but will be set in the Longlegs universe”.
- Bloody Disgusting is offering free advance screenings of supernatural horror movie Passenger on 18 May in New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, and Miami.
- Amityville Backrooms is streaming on Tubi and new streaming platform BloodStream.
- James Cameron says he’s thinking of converting Aliens to 3D.
- Terrifier 4 will take place around New Year’s Eve.
Horror TV Treats
- Dan Aykroyd will be an executive producer on the Ghostbusters animated TV series premiering on Netflix in 2027.
- Friday the 13th actor/stuntman Kane Hodder has been cast in Dexter: Resurrection, season 2.
- AMC and Mini Museum have a kickstarter going for The Walking Dead Mini Museum, a limited-edition collectible featuring “32 screen-used props, costumes, and set pieces”.

- Paranormal Activity: Threshold has been cancelled because Paramount refused the developer’s request for a time extension.
