  • Condolences to family, friends, and fans of author Christopher Priest. Primarily writing science fiction, Priest won the World Fantasy Award, the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the James Tait Black Memorial Prize, four British Science Fiction Association awards, and the French Prix Utopia for lifetime achievement. RIP.

Horror Book Bits

  • Soho Press launched a new horror imprint, Hell’s Hundred. The first two books that will be published this year are E.K. Sathue’s horror satire about the beauty industry, youthjuice, and Stuart Neville’s monster horror, Blood Like Mine. As well as publishing new books, a select number of backlist titles will be migrated to the new imprint.

  • Free game Silent Hill: The Short Message has had over 1 million downloads since its release. Download the full game from the PlayStation store.
  • The pre-sales campaign for 5-part horror gaming docuseries, TerrorBytes: The Evolution of Gaming, ends on 3 March 2024. The series features over 40 interviews with developers and genre experts and will be preceded by a year-long series of live events exclusive to pre-sale supporters. If you order now, you get a limited edition Blu-Ray, 15+ hours of online events, a poster, keychain, t-shirt, mousepad, and soundtrack.

  • Interview with the Vampire, Season 2. Vampire horror. Louis de Pointe Du Lac continues to recount his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy. Premieres on AMC and AMC+ on 12 May 2024.

Horror Movie Trailers

  • My Bloody Galentine. Revenge horror. When three women plot revenge on their exes after they are dumped before Valentine’s Day, their attempts to get even turn deadly. Releases on Tubi on 13 February 2024.
  • Imaginary. Supernatural toy horror. When Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngest stepdaughter Alice develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that become increasingly sinister. Releases in cinemas on 8 March 2024.
  • Night Shift. Supernatural horror. While working her first night shift at a remote motel, Gwen begins to suspect that she is being followed by someone from her past. As the night progresses, Gwen’s isolation and safety are made even worse when she starts to realize that the motel might also be haunted. Releases in cinemas and on VOD on 8 March 2024.
  • The Animal Kingdom. French dystopian horror. In a world where mutations in human genetics cause people to transform into hybrid creatures, François does everything he can to save his wife, who is affected by this mysterious condition. As some of the creatures disappear into a nearby forest, François embarks with his 16-year-old son to find her with help from a local police officer. Releases in cinemas and on VOD on 15 March 2024.
  • Late Night with the Devil. Supernatural horror. A live television broadcast in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation’s living rooms. Releases in cinemas on 22 March 2024.
  • Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2. Slasher horror. Deep within the 100-Acre-Wood, a destructive rage grows as Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger find their home and their lives endangered after Christopher Robin revealed their existence. Not wanting to live in the shadows any longer, the group decides to take the fight to the town of Ashdown, leaving a bloody trail of death and mayhem in their wake. Releases in cinemas on 26 March 2024.
  • Cuckoo. Supernatural horror. 17-year-old Gretchen reluctantly leaves her American home to live with her father and his new family in the German Alps. On arrival, they are greeted by her father’s boss, who takes an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma. Gretchen is plagued by strange noises and bloody visions until she discovers a shocking secret that also concerns her own family. Releases in cinemas on 3 May 2024.
  • A Quiet Place: Day One. Post-apocalyptic horror. Discover why our world went quiet. Releases in cinemas on 28 June 2024.
  • The Piper. Supernatural horror. A composer works to finish her late mentor’s concerto, but she discovers that playing its music summons deadly consequences. Release date TBA.

  • Terror at Oakheart. Slasher horror. The community of Oakheart is being terrorized by Teddy, a masked serial killer. As the body count rises, you discover there is more going on here than just a man in a mask. Releases on Steam on 27 February 2024.
