One of the basic human needs is water.
Our bodies are around 70% water, and we can’t survive long without this life-sustaining liquid, no more than around 3 days for the average person. We have this innate need for water.
This might be why some people feel drawn to live or holiday near a lake.
Or maybe it’s because lake environments feel more relaxing, with a slower way of life and the sensation of being closer to nature, compared to being in a city.
But, lakes are also huge bodies of water – deep and cold – that are perfect places to hide monsters, crimes, and secrets. The surface is calm, then it begins to bubble and boil, before settling down again, making you question what you thought you saw. Was it real or were you hallucinating?
